Meet Stephen St. Martin
Stephen C. St. Martin has devoted nearly his entire adult life to the practice of criminal law. His career began in law enforcement, serving as a police officer before attending law school. After earning his law degree, he worked for an appellate court, where he prepared briefs on criminal appeals and writs for the appellate judges.
He later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County for 17 years, where he handled and tried every type of case—from misdemeanors to capital murders. Since entering private practice, Stephen has represented clients in a broad range of criminal matters in both state and federal courts.
Over his 35-year legal career, the vast majority of Stephen’s work has centered on criminal law. As Judge of Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 15, he will draw on this extensive experience to ensure that every case is resolved fairly, efficiently, and with respect for all involved.
In recent years, Harris County court dockets have grown at an alarming rate. Cases take far too long to resolve, and as Stephen firmly believes, justice delayed is justice denied. When court sessions begin late and end early, justice suffers. As judge, Stephen C. St. Martin will bring accountability, efficiency, and integrity back to the courtroom—ensuring that justice is served promptly and fairly.
